Now my first thought is “Who gives a shit?”.

Judge Dredd comics are hardly known for their in depth relationship dramas and explorations of sexuality. Nor is it a surprise that a man who clads himself in head to toe leather and suffers from severe control, not to mention repression, issues may not be super straight.

My next thought was “Dredd 3D is selling that poorly on DVD is it?”.

Regardless, it seems like some fans have been shocked and disturbed by the news. Probably those same people that were amazed when Halford came out.

Regardless, go have a look at the Independent for more information on the story, or check out the 2000AD forums if you want to see people trying to justify why a gay Dredd is ‘bad for business’.

Dredd 3D is out on Blueray and DVD is the UK and US. Its really, really good.
