New Regency has acquired the Rights to “Guy Delisle’s Pyongyang” and now Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, and the up coming The Lone Ranger) has been linked to the project in a Producer’s and Directors role.
Originally published in 2004 the comic chronicles Delisle’s own experiences while traveling to North Korea as a liaison for an animation studio .
Steve Conrad (The Pursuit of Happyness) has been hired to pen the adaptation.
