ART FOR THE MASSES, Coffee with Cthulhu? Bring out the fine china!

I always love it when I find geeky traits sneaking into respectable professions. Mary O’Malley is trained as a potter in traditional English and Japanese techniques, she received a Bachelor of fine arts in it in fact from the University of art and living in Philadelphia. Working in her favorite medium of Porcelain she developed her own line of Dining ware entitled “Bottom Feeder pieces”

Each piece is a veritable masterpiece in its own right, she acknowledges that with ceramics a certain degree of control has to be sacrificed, in that one never knows how  a firing will warp a tentacle or the way that Iron Oxide can discover every nook of the creatures she creates

Mary’s pieces are far more likely to get you a compliment nowadays than your your grandmothers old Royal Albert china (which I’m sure is beautiful, but it might be a little stale my dear)

So the next time Davy Jones comes to dinner, make him feel at home with some gorgeous and unique table settings.
