“Make Love, Not War” Was Not Supposed To Be This Literal!

"Kiss ALL the people!!"

It’s Latin for “Kiss ALL the people!!”

Destructoid reported some time ago that FuRyu, the creators of the dungeon-crawling first person RPG “Unchained Blades” for the PSP, is creating another RPG called “Exstetra”, where players take on the usual save-the-world fare through the powers of…KISSING?!

Leave it to Japan to be both innovative AND creepy at the exact same time. Apparently the story goes that these world-saving, monster-slaying, super-powered individuals are called “Prisma Knights”, and the main character, Ryoma, has the power to release an individual’s Prisma Knights potentials by giving them some sugar. I, uh, well, I got nothing.

Seems like a convoluted plot just to get to first base.

Seems like a convoluted plot just to get to first base.

That’s not what draws the attention of Nerditis’ gamedesk over this blatant anime fan-service of a JRPG, though. This, however, does:

As you can see, while the Prisma Knights are mostly dudettes, two in particular happens to be dudes, with the implication being that they both also awaken to their powers in the same manner as their female comrades.

…you know what, we take back everything we said about this game, and instead say this game is going to be the AWESOMEST. JRPG. EVER!! And you can bet your leather chaps we’ll be first in line to buy it come launch day!

"Dude. I'm, like, all kinds of awkward RIGHT NOW!"
