I’m a huge fan of “Ico”, and by that extension, “Shadow of the Collossus” too. I’m also a huge fan of Studio Ghibli movies as well, and firmly believed they are king in telling heartfelt stories that stayed with you long after the credits roll. Also, their pretty presentation style doesn’t hurt, either.
So when I heard about “The Girl and the Robot” which was described as “Ico meets Studio Ghibli”, well, I practically squealed with joy for thirty minutes or so.
The Kickstarter page has reported it’s been doing pretty well for itself, but come now: we can’t let something as wonderful as this settle for “In-game Music Player & Art Gallery”. Let’s make sure these guys broke as much stretch goals as possible, so that we can ensure more awesome games, or at least games like this, coming to fruition!
