Implausible Wardrobe And Insane Titles Aren’t The Only Things Arc System Works Are Good At

…because they also know how to tease my mecha fetish. The game is “Damascus Gear: Tokyo Shisen” slated for the PS Vita Japanese release in December 2013, and while announcements were made in the 2013 Tokyo Game Show, apparently people were too busy fawning over their other, more implausibly titled game to give a rat’s ass.

Now, my Japanese is a bit rusty, but apparently there is a war in Tokyo that led to the developments of the massive, mechanical combat monstrosities known as “Gears” (Guilty Gear reference, anyone?). The game seems to play very much like a hack-n-slash action RPG but with Front Mission-influenced aesthetics, from the quarter-top-down to the artsy character sprites. That just adds to my excitement, and our very own Nerditis intern can tell you what happens when I get excited.
