The arcade opening sequence for Arc System Works’ flagship fighting game title (and metalhead cosplayer’s wetdream) reveals the backstory of events that lead up to the story of this current entry of the series. Feast your eyes!
For the three people out there who has played the direct sequel to the game, “Guilty Gear 2: Overture”, you’ll notice there’s plenty of things here to remind you of that game, such as the concept of “The Backyard” and the name “Valentine”. While the arcade version only features thirteen characters, with some of the series regulars like Jam and Baiken noticeably missing, it’s no secret that a console version would most likely expand on the roster. Considering all those points, does this mean there is a possibility that all those characters introduced in Overture, like Kizuna and Dr.Paradigm and even Ky’s son, Sin, would be made playable in the home version?
Because that would be the very essence of Guilty Gear right there: batshit insanity! It won’t be a REAL Guilty Gear game until we could pit a five-year-old boy who looked and behaved like he’s seventeen wielding a flagpole, complete with the flag, for a weapon against a fifteen year old boy who looks like this:
Just saying.
